We are a small industrial construction company looking for a Construction Laborer to assist on job sites located in The Dalles, OR. This is a temporary position with the potential of year-long work depending on candidate.

Duties vary and include but are not limited to heavy lifting (50lbs or more) and operating power tools.

Jireh Industrial Construction is on the lookout for individuals with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

-Willingness to learn company processes
-Ability to take direction well
-Versatility
-Clean and professional appearance
-Ability to adhere to safety requirements
-Willing to show up on time, as needed
-Ability to sit, to stand, and to lift over 50lbs
-Team Player

Preferred Qualifications:

-Drivers license with transportation
-Willing to submit to background test
-Able to pass a drug test
-Construction or maintenance experience preferred, experience in T-Grid Ceiling Installation would be exceptional.

Again-- MUST be willing to submit to drug testing and background check.

PREFERENCE GIVEN TO VETERANS.

On February 9th, 2017 Makayla Wilson had to hear those dreaded words that no one wants to hear.
“You have cancer.”
Unwilling to go down, she began her fight.
Makayla immediately started chemo and radiation. After a few months, she was cancer free. Her family celebrated, through her a party, and shared their thanks that this disease had gone away.
Less than six months later, Makayla felt a pain in her chest and went to the doctor for a check-up. Exactly a year later on February 9th, 2018 Makayla heard those same words, that no one want to hear once let alone twice, repeated back to her.
Still unwilling to go down, she picked herself back up, and rebegun her battle.
The next six months she battled through R-Chop, immunotherapy, Car T cell therapy, 25 rounds of radiation, more chemo, and finally a stem cell transplant from her sister Natalie. Though the transplant pushed her body to extremes, it seemed that it cleared the cancer from her body.
But it didn’t.
And the cancer returned once again.
After nearly three years of fighting Makayla has turned to some alternative treatments that are not covered by insurance and require her to travel to Mexico every few months. Between her treatments Makayla does everything she can to, at the very least, keep the cancer at bay.
Makayla and her family need some support to help cover any costs not covered by insurance including treatments, travel, time off work, and purchasing food her body can absorb.
So today, I ask you to choose. I ask you to choose to rise, to stand together, and to support Makayla and her family during their battle against high grade primary B non Hodgekin’s Lymphoma.
I pray you never have to hear the words, “You have cancer.”
If you do, I pray you have a support group stronger than any disease.
And today you, we, us—we are Makayla’s support group, and we choose to support our friend, our sister in every way we can. We love you Makayla. And we have your back.
