We are expanding our North American battery materials platform through planned investments supported by a modified $50 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and approximately $75 million of our own investment.​

The expansion will enable increased production of LITX® advanced battery-grade conductive carbons and commercial-scale production of carbon nanostructures (CNS), in Pampa, TX and Franklin, LA. The projects will help enhance battery performance and support next-generation battery applications such as battery energy storage systems (BESS), AI data center infrastructure, grid modernization, and electrification. ​

What happens when coating formulators, distributors, and industry experts come together for a day of technical discussions?

Recently, we joined BASF and Sun Chemical in Mexico for the Carbon Blacks and Fumed Silica for Industrial and Automotive Coatings Seminar; an all-day event where approximately 70 participants from more than 10 coatings companies explored the latest developments in coating technologies.

During the event, our Sr. R&D Manager, Dmitry Fomitchev, shared presentations on high-color carbon blacks, conductive carbon black technologies, and advanced fumed silica solutions. Attendees learned about coating color performance, conductive primer design, rheology control, anti-settling performance, and practical application examples from our coatings portfolio.
