Restoration and revitalization are a big part of what we do. This 1860 West Newton home, which we’ve had the privilege of working on over the years, was ready for some exterior repairs and a fresh coat of paint.
Some of the work was straightforward, while other details required a little more craftsmanship - like having a custom knife made to mill new crown molding that precisely matched the original profile on the dormers.
We also addressed several drainage issues around the property, relocating gutters, adding a new dry well and a French drain along the driveway, and rerouting downspouts to better manage water.
A good example of what it takes to thoughtfully maintain an old home: preserve what’s worth preserving, replicate what can’t be saved, and quietly improve the systems that will help it last for another generation.

For the past several years, we've had the privilege of helping the sweetest family thoughtfully restore and maintain this beautiful 1902 antique home in .

In addition to several interior renovations, has been carefully restoring the home's original architectural details, repairing and preserving what we can and recreating elements when necessary to seamlessly match the original craftsmanship.

It's been a true labor of love for the family, who have been incredible stewards of this home, and for our team as well. Bringing these old homes back to life while honoring their history is exactly why we do what we do.

When tasked with gut renovating the very dated primary suite in this 1880 Queen Anne in West Newton, MA, teamed up with to create the romantic old world feel the client desired. Deep burgundy hues and natural materials permeate the home, as well as turn of the century intricate woodwork. This new primary bath and bo***ir closet are now a visual extension of the rest of the home, while being fully brought up to code and elevated through exceptional tile work including handmade , artisanal plaster work, detailed and luxurious designer fixtures and hardware.
