Last week, Peter Wroblewski, P.E. proudly presented on current innovative approaches and technological advancements happening in pavement assessment at the MassDOT Innovation Conference. Peter presented alongside David Vines who discussed the use of three-dimensional ground penetrating radar (3D-GPR) on Andover Street (Route 133) in Lowell.

As part of MassDOT’s Municipal Paving Program, HSH is providing design services to repair Route 133, which is believed to be the oldest concrete road in Massachusetts. The project used a vehicle-mounted 3D ground penetrating radar system to help determine which slabs and joints are a priority for repair allowing MassDOT and the City of Lowell to make informed and proactive decisions. Congratulations to Peter and his fellow presenters on a successful presentation!
