For ⚛️ Careers in Science ⚛️, the fourth day of SASE Science Week, we would like to highlight the 🔭Observatory, where we will be hosting a small tour of on April 10th from 6:30 to 7:15pm!

Come on our tour of the Coit Observatory on top of CAS with us and see all of the tools and instruments that enable careers in astronomy 🌌! If the night is clear, we maybe get to see some 💫 stars 💫 and maybe even some planets! It's also a great place for photos 👀

For 🌍 Environmental Awareness Day 🌎 , the second day of SASE Science Week, we would like to highlight our upcoming, final community service event of the semester: Cleaning up the Charles! 🌊 ♻️ 🧹

Come volunteer to remove litter along the width of the Charles with us on April 22nd from 10am to 12pm! We will be volunteering alongside over 3,000 other volunteers from the Charles River Conservancy in an effort to clean, maintain, and preserve the Charles River for future generations. More details will be announced in the days approaching the event!

For the first day of SASE Science Week,💡Innovation Day💡, we would like to highlight Professor Nathan Phillips and his contributions to the world of urban ecology! 🪵🌲🌳🏭

Nathan has been at BU for nearly 23 years now, and has been researching urban ecology and physiology for over a decade! He is a strong advocator for urban sustainability and making life in cities cleaner and better for future generations.

🧪🔭🔬 Today marks the start for a week for the "Scientists" part of SASE! 🧪🔭🔬

Explore and celebrate the sciences by participating in SASE’s Science week, where we dedicate a week to the science side of the Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers! Each weekday will have its own theme. Later today, we will start with 💡Innovation day, highlighting an innovator in the sciences, Tuesday we highlight our upcoming community service event on 🌎 Earth Day, Wednesday you’ll learn and taste the science behind 🥐 Red Bean Buns, Thursday we’ll explore the 🌌 Astronomy Department, and on Friday, we wrap up with a 🎬 movie night!
Try and participate in as many as you can, and stay tuned for more details of each day! 👀

Thanks so much everyone who attended our GBM2: Raining Colors with SASE!🎨 🎨
It was so exciting to see the rangoli that everyone was creating and seeing everything come together. We hope everyone had a blast learning about how Holi came to be and seeing the colors rain!
The semester isn't over yet, and we still have a few events planned to round the semester out, so stay tuned! 👀

Test your knowledge at Jeopardy with SASE!
The classic game show is coming to our GBM2 on November 4th in CAS325. There will be a short mentorship reveal if you signed up for the Mentorship program in the beginning. Then, the game will commence as we split into teams and ask questions on the following topics: Asian Culture, BU Geoguesser, Food, Music, STEM, and SASE. Prizes will be give to the highest scoring teams, so get ready to compete! Hope to see you guys there!

Thank you all so much for a fantastic Networking Night, and our first in-person Networking Night in two years!
We would like to thank our representatives from Instawork, Amazon, P&G, Broad Institute, and BU Medical School again for coming out and connecting with us! We also hope that everyone who attended learned something new or made a new connection, and had a great time.

Anvitha and Richard are both students and board members of BU Med School's Student Committee on Medical School Affairs (chair and vice chair, respectively). Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine is dedicated to the educational, intellectual, professional and personal development of a diverse group of exceptional students, trainees, and faculty who are deeply committed to the study and practice of medicine, to biomedical research, and to public health. Anvitha and Richard are two such students, and as board members of SCOMSA, they also both facilitate open communication between school administration and the student body, as well as directly fund many of the student organizations on its campus.

Originally starting as an online bookselling company, Amazon has morphed into an internet-based business enterprise that is largely focused on providing e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming and artificial intelligence (AI) services. As an incoming software development engineer for Amazon's propel program, Antonio will work alongside long-standing mentors and managers to create technical projects for the largest online retailer in the world.
