It’s been a while, so here’s some highlights from our garage and studio project. A fun hip roof to frame and trim. Thanks to Todd and Matt at for the help to push this one to the finish line. Insualtion and mechanicals are roughed in and control barriers are installed. The moment of truth came and we’re blower door tested. .25ACH50 for depressurization and .27 when pressurized, so .26ACH50 it is, nice work team!

Happy Earth Day everyone! Thanks to our friends Kolbert Building] for sharing this! A huge thanks to BUILDERS FOR CLIMATE ACTION] for making their BEAM carbon calculating tool available to all. Having a carbon calculating tool at our fingertips to help inform all the important decisions we all make in our builds is amazing! We can all build better, we can all look a little harder at our projects regarding how we build and what we build with to minimize the impact on our planet and this tool can help guide those decisions we all make. This tool represents an incredible amount of work by some very incredibly talented people, so thank you all.

Our newest project is rolling right along. We’re working with a lovely repeat client building her a detached garage with a high performance cozy studio space above that she designed for her guests. A big thanks to for helping us get this one rolling. Also a big thanks to and @475.supply for keeping us in the products we need. Double stud walls are done, air sealing is in progress, a few more pieces of hardware and we’ll be making roof parts!

Thanks to our boom truck driver Will at for a cheery delivery and some excellent products from our friends at @475.supply. We’re set to jump right in on our next project after a short winter nap. Happy Holidays!

We have the pleasure of working with some of the very best people on our projects. This one is a little extra special to us because the gang’s all here! Country Fare Excavation and Schaedler Concrete did an excellent job setting us up as usual. Seth Gallant , who was a key member of our team for years, dimensioned the original barn that was here and designed and cut the new native white pine timber frame to replace it as part of our cottage project. The fun doesn’t end there; Todd and Matt from came to help us knock out the enclosure and the roof. will be here soon enough to put the solar cherry on top. It’s great working with a great team you know well. More to come!

Our project with is getting close to completion. We’re closing in on the cedar shingle siding and Organic Innovations is cruising on the hardscape designed by . After that, Country Fare comes back to finish the rest of the landscape and its onto the next one for us. This has been a wonderful project to be a part of. We feel lucky to work with such a dedicated team of people everyday.
