Today we completed the installation of a 11kw solar array which will be used to run a wheat mill and an oil press.

Productive use solar installations are a reliable and affordable solutions for agricultural processing.

The farmer who purchased this system is running a 10 horsepower 3 phase motor. A grid connection of this size and specification is expensive, unreliable and often unavailable in the first place which makes the best choice.

Energy Crisis in Uttar Pradesh India.

Grid supply of electricity is already intermittent at best for so many rural communities in Uttar Pradesh.

Where SVE is active grid power is typically only available 12 to 14 hours per day on average.

Now with a heat wave and coal shortage the problem is getting worse.

With mass deployment of solar more coal wouldn't be needed in the first place and deploying solar at scale is exactly what we are doing.

We've been hard at work here at SVE the past few months. It turns out that setting up a social enterprise that serves rural communities is a lot of work 😀

But today we mark our 100th installation!

By the end of the year we expect to complete over 1000 installations done and that is just the beginning.
