Friends, there are only 9 spots left for the annual Minding My Math Business summer program! Register a student in grades 6-12, at no cost, today.

Once again, we are pleased to help encourage youth from all over the area to participate in this amazing program that mixes math with mindfulness. Faculty from WKU Mathematics, WKU Department of Counseling and Student Affairs, and the Department of Finance have built a curriculum that this year will feature a showcase of math in motion, math in space, and much more.

Learn more about the summer program and sign up at https://www.wku.edu/math/mmmb/.

Minding My Math Business is sponsored by the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, Ogden College of Science and Engineering, and the Gordon Ford College of Business.

πŸŽ“ Shelby Johnston
Join us in congratulating Shelby Johnston, a Hilltopper from Franklin, KY, graduating with a major in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education and a major in Middle Grades Mathematics.

β€œThe best part of my WKU experience has been how much I’ve grown through both the learning and the support of my professors. They consistently push you to succeed, not just academically, but in ways that prepare you for your future career and life beyond college. Because of that, I’ve gained not only valuable knowledge and skills for teaching, but also confidence, resilience, and a stronger sense of purpose that I know will carry with me moving forward.”

🎯 What’s next for Shelby?
β€œI will be teaching in a middle school math classroom, school to be determined. Additionally, I will be starting my master's at WKU this summer in Teacher Leadership, with the goal of obtaining a doctorate one day. β€œ
