We at SSL Geotechnical are continuously improving our geoprobes. We started with the idea of fabricating a folding tower for our newest rig #11. It went out in it's first project last week. Now we've modified the electrical system to eliminate the inherent geoprobe relay cooling issues. We relocated the relays outside of the fuse panel and fabricated a more robust electrical circuit. Years ago we were told by an engineer that geoprobes couldn't do large sites or were limited to shallow holes. Now that we have drilled several large solar projects(2,000+ acres) or deep karst features (80ft+) I think of that engineer and smile. We perform geotechnical, rock coring, & direct push with these machines again and again and as we continue to improve them they only get better.

When the site absolutely positively has to get drilled on time. We keep a forestry mulcher for just such an occasion.

In the last couple of weeks we've done a variety of projects. A municipal rock sounding, geotech at an airport and a public library. Then environmental direct push and finally a limited access geotechnical project inside a factory. "Your hole is our goal".
