Henry Filter, Inc. is a leading supplier of coolant filtration and engineered central metal chip handling systems, primarily for the metal working industry. Since 1952, Henry Filters has essentially followed the trends of the automotive industry. In 1980, we developed the horizontal wedgewire coolant filtration Suction Indexing Drum Filter (SID). This modular design has become a standard in the me
tal cutting industry. Continuous improvements have been made to achieve finer filtration. We now have developed a microscreen element that is interchangeable with the wedgewire. This modular type filter element allows the feasibility of changing from filtering mineral seal oil to water based cutting fluid, utilizing the same conveyors tanks. In 1985, we designed an "improved" line of vacuum roll media filters. The design gives a better seal of the roll media to the vacuum septum, reducing bypass. The vacuum chamber is designed to be self-cleaning. In response to customer's needs, we have developed permanent, endless belt filters using either vacuum or pressure. We met this industry change head-on and increased our product line to give our customer a choice of filtration equipment, allowing them to select the one that best fits their needs. In addition to filtration systems, Henry Filters offers auxiliary equipment to assist in extending coolant life as well as liquid extracting devices to reduce the amount of liquid that is retained in the swarf. This makes it more acceptable for disposal and reduces coolant carry off. Our laboratory is staffed to assist customers with coolant filtration related problems. In an effort to maintain our superiority, Henry Filters pursued a Quality Assurance program and in 1998, we earned ISO-9001 certification and in 1999, we achieved Ford's prestigious Q1 award. In 2000, Henry Filters acquired HR Black, who specializes in washers and stand alone filters. Together we plan to revolutionize the filtration industry again and remain the leader in filtration worldwide. Keep an eye out for more Research & Development projects from Henry Filters. There is always something around the corner to keep Henry Filters on the leading edge.
