Just because we’re competitors doesn’t mean we’re competition.

Earlier this year, a new HVAC company from St. Pete reached out. They were struggling — either losing jobs or barely breaking even when they did land one. He’d seen me helping another tech diagnose a system online and decided to ask for guidance.

We met up, went through his pricing (yes… we raised them — he was so low he was probably losing work for being too cheap), talked through system and duct design basics, and set him on a better path. I’ve checked in a few times throughout the year, and today I got a message that honestly made my whole day.

This industry isn’t about beating the guy next to you — it’s about lifting each other up.
Us little guys have to stick together so the big private-equity companies don’t get to steamroll customers or small businesses.

Very thankful today for moments like this and the reminder that helping someone else never sets you back. It only grows the trade.
