Great news! Plants & Goodwin is deploying two additional rigs next month for a major U.S. natural gas producer.

This is expanding what started as a single-rig annual contract into a full-scale 2026 P&A campaign across NY, PA, WV, and KY.

Many of these wells require specialized plugging techniques beyond what a standard oil or gas well demands. That's exactly the kind of work we're built for.

Big news for Plants & Goodwin!

It has just been announced that we have closed on a $4.3 million acquisition of rigs and equipment from Viking Well Service. That means more capacity, more coverage, and more wells plugged.

Here's what this means in practice for P&G:

- Five additional derrick rigs added to our fleet
- Two snubbing units
- Additional trucks and trailers
- Expanded footprint into five new states: New Jersey, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Iowa
- Expected to have a 20% revenue increase

We've spent 50+ years building a reputation for doing this work the right way. This acquisition positions us to do it at a scale we've never operated at before in even more locations.

After an extraordinary 36-year career in the wireline industry, P&G is wishing farewell to one of our finest. Joel is retiring, and he will be truly missed. Joel came to Plants and Goodwin through our acquisition of Appalachian Well Surveys, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and a reputation built over decades in the field. During his time with us, he led wireline crews with confidence, oversaw complex project designs, ensured the safe and responsible use of explosives, and conducted well logs with the precision that only comes from years of hands on experience. Joel's professionalism, calm expertise, and unwavering commitment to safety have left a lasting mark on our team and our operations. On behalf of everyone at P&G, we congratulate Joel on a remarkable career and wish him all the best in this well-earned next chapter.

Plants & Goodwin is beginning work on our $19.6 million CMAR contract with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources this June. This contract is a three-year program to plug approximately 200 high-priority marginal wells across the state.

Funded through a first-of-its-kind federal grant targeting methane emissions reduction, this project is exactly the kind of work that matters: protecting communities, restoring land, and cleaning up Ohio's legacy well inventory.

We're no strangers to Ohio. Take a look below at our team plugging wells near Bowling Green, OH earlier this year. Our team is excited to continue delivering excellent work with this new project.
