That’s a wrap on Teacher Totes for 2026! 🍎 Our final delivery of the year brought us to Cambridge Intermediate yesterday, where we dropped off classroom supplies to help teachers spend a little less out of pocket as they prepare for students. Thanks to a matching grant from CoBank, we were able to double our budget. Wishing Cambridge-Isanti Schools (and all the schools we visited) a fantastic year ahead!

Classrooms are almost ready and a new school year is just around the corner. ECE stopped by Cambridge Primary this morning with Teacher Totes filled with supplies to help local educators get ready for students. With support from a matching grant through CoBank, we’re helping cover a few of those extras teachers often purchase themselves. It's a great day to be a Bluejacket at Cambridge-Isanti Schools!

Safety is better when we learn together. Thanks to the Hinckley-area first responders who spent some time with ECE last week!⚡

We hosted a training session last night with surrounding fire departments. East Central Electric provided dinner for everyone, presented a classroom session on the dangers of power lines that we are exposed to during house fires, traffic accidents, downed lines from storms and so forth. They then presented a live demonstration with their mobile safety trailer.

All rise for an unexpected career change. What changed Jodi’s verdict 29 years ago?

This month, Jodi Zak is celebrating 29 years at ECE, which is especially impressive considering a career at an electric cooperative wasn’t exactly part of her original plan. In fact, she was supposed to work at a law firm.
