A big thank you to Derek from RESCO for stopping by this week! We appreciate having a supplier that's much more than an electric/fiber material vendor—they’re a true partner in every sense of the word. Both ECE and RESCO are celebrating 90 years of service, and we can't think of a better celebration of cooperative membership than a $300,000 capital credits check!

Derek Rolle (right), account manager for our Northern Minnesota service area, presents Justin Jahnz, president and CEO of East Central Energy, with his cooperative’s 2025 patronage allocation during a visit to the cooperative's office yesterday.

Derek and his fellow account managers have been visiting with our friends at member utilities throughout the Midwest and Northern Plains during the past month to meet with their teams and deliver their patronage allocations.

Part cowboy, part problem-solver, Mitch Dubois has spent a lifetime chasing down challenges.

Some of Mitch Dubois' favorite moments happen on horseback, riding Peruvian horses alongside his wife, Rebecca, winding through wooded trails and enjoying the quieter side of life outside of work. …And much like a trail ride, his 33-year career has had some changes in scenery.

Rylee and Zachary packed a lot into their final full day in Washington, D.C. From spotting animals at the Smithsonian National Zoo to taking in the stunning architecture of the National Cathedral and exploring several Smithsonian museums, Friday was full of new experiences. They capped off the evening by connecting with other Youth Tour students from across the country with dinner and a dance at the hotel. What a week!

Yesterday was another full day of exploring, learning, and making memories in Washington, D.C. for ECE’s Youth Tour delegates, Rylee and Zachary.

Highlights included taking in the views from the Capital Wheel, exploring exhibits at the National Museum of the Marine Corps, and visiting Mount Vernon.

From history and leadership to a few unforgettable views along the way, there’s never a dull moment on Youth Tour!

It’s not every day we get to show our power supplier what happens after electricity leaves the transmission system and reaches the communities we serve.

This week, Great River Energy stopped by ECE headquarters to see how their work connects to ours. They generate and transmit the electricity, and we deliver it to homes, farms, and businesses across our service area.

At the end of the day, we’re all working toward the same thing: reliable electricity for our members!
