For those with heat pumps:

With the forecast of freezing rain and ice, you should switch your system over to Emergency Heat, thereby turning your outside unit off to prevent damage. When the temperatures rise and the ice has melted off, it will be safe to switch it back to your regular Heat setting on your thermostat. Praying for everyone’s safety through this winter storm!
