PROJECT SPOTLIGHT | Brandon Big Room Renovations

Gilreath Construction Company recently completed this fast-track, 60-day renovation project for the City of Brandon, Mississippi.

Major project improvements included:

• A new 2,000-square-foot rear enclosure
• A new commercial kitchen
• An enlarged stage platform
• Structural-steel modifications creating a more open venue
• Electrical, lighting and finish upgrades throughout the Big Room

We appreciate the City of Brandon and Wier Boerner Allin Architecture for the opportunity to be part of this project. We also thank the subcontractors, vendors and suppliers whose coordination and commitment were essential to meeting the accelerated schedule and delivering the project to the standards expected by the owner and architect.

Project Complete | Hinds Community College Career Tech Renovations – Vicksburg Campus

Some projects mean a little more than others.

Gilreath Construction is honored to have served as the general contractor for the renovation of more than 60,000 square feet of Career & Technical Education space at Hinds Community College’s Vicksburg Campus.

The project included renovated training facilities for HVAC, Plumbing, Workforce Development/Flex Lab, Welding, Machine Shop, Carpentry, and Automotive Technology—creating modern spaces where students will develop the skills needed to build Mississippi’s future.

What makes this project especially meaningful is the opportunity to give back to an industry that has given so much to us. Before summer break, our team had the privilege of spending time with students, sharing real-world construction experience, and encouraging the next generation of skilled trades professionals.

We’re grateful to the outstanding leadership, faculty, staff, and instructors at Hinds Community College for their dedication to workforce education and for trusting our team with this important project.

Welcome to the Team | Intern Spotlight

Please help us welcome Reighan Barnes to Gilreath Construction as our newest intern.

Reighan is a student in the Construction Management program at the University of Southern Mississippi and is eager to gain real-world, on-the-job experience in commercial construction. During her time with Gilreath Construction, Reighan will be exposed to estimating, project management, and day-to-day field and office operations.

Originally from Gluckstadt (Germantown HS), Mississippi, Reighan brings strong motivation and a hands-on mindset as she works to bridge classroom learning with practical application in the construction industry.
