Earlier this year, our President, David DeMaio, was honored by Varco Pruden Buildings with the prestigious Legend of Steel Award at the VP Converge Conference.

David’s story with Munger Construction began in 1983 as a Carpenter, working alongside Pat Munger. He became President and Owner in 1992, and in the decades since, his leadership has helped shape not only our company and our community, but also our longstanding partnership with Varco Pruden and our place within the pre-engineered metal building industry.

This week, we’re sharing a clip from the video created in recognition of David and his career — a tribute that captures the relationships, leadership, hard work, and people behind the buildings.

We’re incredibly proud to see David recognized as a Legend of Steel and even prouder of the legacy he continues to build at Munger Construction.

A look inside the completed transformation at Hamden Hall Country Day School
This project brought together new construction and the character of Hamden Hall’s existing historic architecture, creating updated spaces that feel thoughtfully connected to the campus around them.

From classrooms and common areas to the architectural details throughout, we’re proud of the craftsmanship, coordination, and attention to detail that brought these spaces to life.

Project Update | Hamden Hall Country Day School

Work is nearing completion on Hamden Hall Country Day School’s new Davis Street Middle School in Hamden, Connecticut.

This unique project brings together the renovation and restoration of the historic Davis Street property with a new building addition, thoughtfully integrating the character of the existing structure with the needs of a modern educational environment.

As the final details come together, we’re proud of the progress made and grateful to our dedicated team and trade partners whose craftsmanship, coordination, and commitment have helped bring this project to life.

We appreciate Hamden Hall Country Day School for the opportunity to be part of a project that will serve its students, faculty, and school community for years to come.

When The Star Supply Company outgrew its existing headquarters, the solution was to transform a 25-year-old warehouse into a 165,000-square-foot headquarters and distribution center built for the company’s continued growth.
