What a whirl-wind week! We had the opportunity to attend Design and Construction week in Las Vegas featuring the International Builder’s Show and the International Kitchen and Bath Show all organized by the National Association of Home Builders.
Over a million square feet of designers, suppliers, vendors, and educators representing their respective businesses to help the end user be more informed of their best options.
The three day event kicked off with the opening ceremony featuring key note speaker, David Spade….yes, that David Spade! He was a riot as usual! Immediately after his presentation, the flood gates were opened to the floor and the chaos began!
The hunt was on to see some of the most influential personalities in the construction business. We first ran into Tim and Bryan Uhler from awesomeframers. Next up was the Perkins Builder Brothers featuring Jaime and Erik Perkins and their crew John-O, Jay and Ray! We then were able to catch a short presentation from Kyle Stumpenhorst, of RR Buildings. Finally, we attended a session from Matt Risinger of The Build Show .
As our step counter went up, our bags were being filled with knowledge of the latest and greatest products and technologies on the market. Along with that, our internal fuel tanks were diminishing fast. We ensured to take the opportunity to indulge in some of Vegas’s restaurants. Wish we would have taken more photos of the plates.
We took the opportunity to break away, on day three, to check out one of the great landmarks of our country, the The Hoover Dam. If you get a chance, jump on it. Really neat place with a lot of history behind how it powers and provides for the region.
The closing ceremony was capped off by an AWESOME private concert from Grand Ole Opry member and multi-platinum singer/songwriter Chris Janson. Very entertaining! Look him up and go see him! You won’t be disappointed!
