Some of the jobs we “squeeze” into on Nantucket, and the seashells we find at 120ft! Shells are believed to have been pushed in there when the glacier formed the Cape and Islands! Nantucket is estimated to be somewhere around 7,000 years old making these shells that old! Pretty neat!

There is already starting to be a shortage. In Mass the average age for a plumber is 61! When Mass decided to change the apprenticeship to 5 years instead of 3 they hurt the industry. Plumbing is one of the only trade industries that requires 5 instead of 3.

🧑‍🔧 The plumbing industry is facing a workforce challenge as many seasoned plumbers near retirement, potentially leading to a 50% decline in the next 15 years.

As Patrick O'Neill from Waukesha County Technical College says, "Plumbing is a noble profession vital to public health".
