We kicked off football season with the annual I3 tailgate, filled with great food and, of course, our annual co****le tournament. 🏆

👷‍♂️👷‍♀️ Recently, several of our team members and interns visited Valtronics for a firsthand look at gas sampling buildings and Mustang sampling systems in operation.

The Valtronics team walked us through the layout of each system, the purpose behind each component arrangement, and the practical considerations that influence the final design.

We also had the opportunity to inspect one of our skid designs in person, gaining a deeper understanding of the key decisions behind the design. 📐 Using the P&IDs as a guide, we compared the drawings with the finished skids to see how the design translated from concept to finished equipment.

🤝 Thank you to the Valtronics team for taking the time to show us around and share your expertise. It was a valuable hands-on learning experience for everyone involved!

We would like to thank Chad Wells and Jason Bowman from Trivaco for hosting a Lunch & Learn with the I3 Engineering team. 🤝

The session provided a valuable overview of Trivaco’s line card, including their valve division, instrumentation & controls divisions, and measurement & field instrumentation solutions.

Jason’s knowledge of the Yokogawa line of instrumentation was refreshing and insightful. He not only shared expertise on the product line, but also explained how the instrumentation functions in real-world applications. This was especially valuable for our young engineers who have not yet had exposure to this type of instrumentation. ⚙️

👷‍♂️👷‍♀️ Our summer interns and newest team member recently visited a well pad, an M&R station, and a compressor station to get a firsthand look at real-world projects.

During the visit, one of our Senior Project Managers walked the group through the full process, from well pad construction to natural gas transmission. The experience gave everyone a chance to ask industry professionals thoughtful questions and engage in meaningful discussions, deepening the group’s understanding of upstream and midstream engineering.

At I3, we’re proud to create opportunities for the next generation of engineers to learn from experienced professionals and see how engineering concepts are applied in the field. 🦺

🗺️⚙️ Our Surveying and Engineering teams recently came together for an internal Lunch & Learn focused on point cloud workflows.

From processing data in the office to integrating usable outputs into CAD, the session covered real-world applications and shared practical tips to improve speed, accuracy, and overall efficiency.

The biggest takeaway? When Surveying and Engineering understand each other’s workflows, everything runs smoother. Better data in, better design out. 🤝
