I’m Tom Dougekos, owner of BUILT BY TOM (Thomas A. Dougekos LLC). With 46 years as a local carpenter/contractor, I’ve built and remodeled homes and commercial spaces across Washtenaw, Livingston, and Oakland counties.
My shop is fully equipped for millwork, casework, and finishes, and I keep a large inventory so projects move fast.
Right now I have an immediate need for 1–2 reliable, hardworking young people (18–25 preferred) to join as apprentices/laborers on a full-scope repair of a well-neglected house in Superior Township. The work includes landscape cleanup, demolition, deck repair, concrete, drywall, trim, cabinetry, painting — plain ol’ honest hard work to get the job done right.
This is more than just a job. You’ll learn real carpentry skills from someone who’s been doing this for nearly five decades, plus mentorship in leadership and the values of a physically and mentally healthy society.
