🌆 Orion Environmental’s Role in the Cherry Creek West Development 🚧

Orion Environmental, Inc. is proud to be a key partner in the exciting transformation of 13 acres in the heart of the Cherry Creek neighborhood.

The Cherry Creek West Development will bring a world-class community to the area, creating a vibrant, 15-minute community where residents can live, work, play, shop, and access essential services all within walking or biking distance.

When completed, this development will feature 825 residences, 600,000 square feet of office space, 100,000 square feet of retail, over 2,000 underground parking spaces, and four acres of open space. The long-term economic impact of this project will be significant, boosting local business, creating thousands of jobs, and enhancing the quality of life for Cherry Creek residents and the surrounding areas.

Orion is helping to kickstart this $1 billion project by performing critical abatement work, including the removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) from existing buildings before site demolition begins in Spring 2025. Our team will be on-site starting in early 2025 to get the project rolling, ensuring a safe and efficient start to what will be a transformative development for Cherry Creek and beyond.

Orion Environmental is proud to have played a role in preserving the historical integrity of this remarkable building at the University of Colorado through careful asbestos abatement. A structure that has stood the test of time deserves the utmost care, and our team was honored to ensure the space remains safe while maintaining its original character.

This project required precision and expertise, as we carefully removed hazardous materials while safeguarding the historic features that make this building a cherished part of the university’s legacy. Navigating the unique challenges of working in a historic space only deepened our appreciation for the craftsmanship that came before us.

A huge thank you to our partners at the University of Colorado for entrusting us with this important work. Projects like this remind us why we do what we do—honoring the past while making spaces safer for the future!
