quality design and construction at a fair price. commercial. industrial. institutional. You're seeing the space where our first responders answer the call of duty.

When you drive past a Lantz sign, you’re passing more than just another construction site. You're witnessing local manufacturers build futures for generations to come. You're looking at the place a retired loved one calls home. At Lantz, there is always an underlying reason for what we do. The result of which enriches the daily lives of those in our local communities, each and every day. Lantz’s expertise focuses on general contracting, construction management, facilities & industrial maintenance, and design-build services in Virginia and West Virginia. One area we differentiate ourselves through is our self-performed capabilities, which include but are not limited to: demolition, concrete, masonry, steel, carpentry, doors, hardware, and specialty items. This often equates to overall cost savings. Much has changed in the 60+ years since Lantz was founded, but one thing remains constant: our commitment to provide exceptional quality construction at a fair and equitable price. We build, design, and maintain all types of commercial and industrial projects, large and small, from retail to healthcare, education to manufacturing, churches to offices; and, from fit-outs to renovations and additions to new buildings. Lantz currently employs more than 100 Team Lantz’rs, who are also owners of the business, as Lantz proudly became a 100% employee stock ownership (ESOP) company in 2019. Each and every Team Lantz’r, from office to field, plays a role in building our local communities, making the Shenandoah Valley the best place to live and work!

On this final day of 2026's Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15th-Oct. 15th), we want to recognize our many Team Lantz'rs who are from Hispanic and Latin countries by sharing some of their favorite traditions!

Their contributions to our work, our team, and our overall culture are significant, and we ultimately wouldn't be who we are as a company without them.

🔩Samuel is from Guanajuato, Mexico. His favorite tradition is his family's annual trip to Mexico for Christmas. Their favorite holiday dishes are Pozole and Buñuelos.

🔩Patty is from Uruguay. Some of her favorite traditions include celebrating Three Kings Day and eating gnocchi every 29th of the month.

🔩Miguel is from Honduras. During Christmas, his family gets together and makes their favorite holiday dishes, tamales and hornado.

🔩Sergio is from Monterrey, Mexico. His favorite tradition is celebrating Día De Los Mu***os, a Mexican holiday honoring deceased loved ones.

🔩Erick is from Mexico and his favorite tradition is celebrating the New Year by riding a mechanical bull and eating Kings Bread on Three Kings Day, January 6th.

🔩Gabino is from Mexico and his favorite tradition is similar to Samuel's. During Christmas, his family gets together and enjoys homemade tamales and Buñuelos.

Project Highlight: Elkton Elementary School!

With our wonderful design and sub partners, and Lantz's own self-perform crew, we completed an extensive renovation of the school's 78,000 sq. ft. space, complete in time for the start of the 2026 academic year.

Along the way, we formed some great relationships with the teaching faculty and staff. And perhaps even influenced a student or two to join Lantz one day 😉.

Sprinkled in with these professional photography shots are pictures of the students enjoying their new space!

Next up for us re: Rockingham County Public Schools--the completion of McGaheysville Elementary School's renovation, slated for summer of 2027!

October marks an occasion we like to celebrate at Lantz- Careers in Construction Month! And we take it to heart, the responsibility of advocating for the industry and helping the next generation(s!) learn what it is they are most interested in. Pictured are a few of the ways we've engaged with our local schools the other 11 months of this past year!

It was a beautiful day for a scenic drive to Franklin, WV to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Pendleton County Courthouse's new three story, 10,000+ sq. ft. Judicial Annex!

Fun fact: Phil Rader and Roy Ellinger, pictured 2nd and 3rd from the left, joined Lantz on the very same day 20 years ago. Since then, they have been integral team members in the field, and have worked on many of our West Virginia projects over the years!

The rain didn't dampen today's celebration for our clients at JMU CommonWealth One-it was a fantastic turn out for their ribbon cutting event at their new spot on campus. Now located in the hub of student activity at the Student Success Center, it'll be a breeze for students to handle their banking needs!

In their matching heart sunglasses, two of our Lantz kiddos raced toward the finish line during Run the Runway's Kid Fun Run. We love sponsoring this Explore More Discovery Museum event each year!
