xpertise focuses on general contracting, construction management, facilities & industrial maintenance, and design-build services in Virginia and West Virginia. One area we differentiate ourselves through is our self-performed capabilities, which include but are not limited to: demolition, concrete, masonry, steel, carpentry, doors, hardware, and specialty items. This often equates to overall cost savings. Much has changed in the 60+ years since Lantz was founded, but one thing remains constant: our commitment to provide exceptional quality construction at a fair and equitable price. We build, design, and maintain all types of commercial and industrial projects, large and small, from retail to healthcare, education to manufacturing, churches to offices; and, from fit-outs to renovations and additions to new buildings. Lantz currently employs more than 100 Team Lantz’rs, who are also owners of the business, as Lantz proudly became a 100% employee stock ownership (ESOP) company in 2019. Each and every Team Lantz’r, from office to field, plays a role in building our local communities, making the Shenandoah Valley the best place to live and work!

Since mid-April, we've been at Bowman Fruit Sales in Timberville working on an office addition. This week, we did a slab pour and are adding 2x4 wood studs to the existing wood framing wall for roof joists support. Framing will then take place for the next couple weeks. Their new addition will include three offices, an executive suite, a breakroom with kitchen, and 2 bathrooms. It will be ready for move in by the end of this summer.

Highlighting the recent new construction design-build for Steven Kia's dealership.

They recently moved in to this new 26,000 sq.ft. building on Harrisonburg's Motor Mile, transitioning operations from their original Kia dealership located down the street. All aspects of this project were design built with today’s customer in mind—from the architectural and civil to MEP and structural. There are high end finishes throughout and the space includes: 16 Service Bays, 1 Detailing Bay, 1 State Inspection Flat Bay, 12 Offices, Conference Room, Tech Locker Room, and 2,400 sq. ft. for Parts Storage. Lantz self-performed the concrete and steel er****on.

It's 🍎National Teacher Appreciation Day!🍎 The teachers and kiddos at McGaheysville Elementary School are celebrating big--and from the looks of it, the appreciation is mutual! We and our partners recently started the school's renovation, which will be completed next year ahead of the '27-'28 school year.

Thank you to all of our teachers across the Valley for the time, patience, and heart you invest in our local kids! You truly make an impact that lasts a lifetime.

It's our 66th birthday! On this day in 1960, we started as "Lantz Homes" before transitioning to "Lantz Construction Company" in 1966.

To commemorate, we took a walk down memory lane in our "Vintage Lantz" files to find a picture from each decade since!

We appreciate Bridgewater College inviting us to campus today to take part in their Day of Giving festivities. Our partnership with the college on the philanthropic and marketing side includes support of their athletics program and their Eagle Fund. The spotlight was on the Eagle Fund today--we offered a donation match during the 12pm hour and participated in a livestream event to help promote the scholarship. They are well on their way to exceeding today's goal, and 2025's final number!

Both Jeff Deavers and Seth Little pictured are proud BC Alums, as are several other Team Lantz'rs! 🦅

Highlighting the recent renovation of Anicira's 5,700 SF 1992 Medical Avenue location. This work allowed them to expand their services and surgery department by transforming their hospital into a more welcoming, modern, and safe environment where even more pets can be helped in our community.

Along with our design partners and subs, we opened up the floorplan to allow for better use of the current space and added a new main operating room, clean operating room, recovery area, and dog kennel room. Existing exam rooms were renovated with new finishes, casework, and sliding doors. Patient facing areas received premium finishes including fully tiled restrooms, a ceramic tile wall in the lobby and accent lighting. HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems were upgraded as well.
