It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our friend and teammate, Ron Kay. Ron was our very first employee and a true cornerstone of Cumberland Construction Group.

Ron wasn’t just part of our crew, he was part of our family. From the very beginning, he believed in what we were building and helped lay the foundation, both literally and figuratively, for everything that came after. His loyalty to CCG was unwavering, and his sense of humor could make even the hardest days on the job a little lighter.

Ron took pride in every project he touched, pioneering our electrical department and helping us grow into a multimillion dollar company. Those of us who had the privilege to work alongside him, during his four years with CCG, will never forget him and the way he showed up for the people around him.

We’re grateful for those years, the memories, and the countless laughs we shared with him. Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones as we all mourn this tremendous loss.

Rest easy, Ron. You’ll always be part of the Cumberland story, a true “cowboy”, and we’ll carry your legacy with us on every job we do.

Cumberland Construction Group is currently looking to hire a Working Foreman.

REQUIREMENTS (EXPERIENCE):
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in metal framing/carpentry
* Minimum of 2 years of experience managing crews.
* Minimum of 1-2 years of masonry experience.

REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS):
* Strong understanding of construction processes
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations for maintaining a safe work environment
* Proficient in Project scheduling to ensure timely project completion
* Knowledge of metal framing systems and techniques
* Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, technical specifications, and follow project plans
* Detail-oriented with excellent craftsmanship skills
* Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
* Willingness to travel
* Must have valid Driver’s License

QUALIFICATIONS:
As a Working Supervisor at Cumberland Construction Group, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating construction projects. You will be responsible for leading a team of workers, ensuring project completion according to industry standards and specifications.

**** They are also open to considering candidates who may not meet Foreman criteria for a separately posted Lead Carpenter position, with opportunities for potential advancement into a future Foreman role.

PLEASE NOTE: This position is one that requires a significant amount of travel. That being said, as a family owned company, we value our employees having time with their families, as well, and strive to provide flexibility and understanding in helping our employees balance enough time at home, while working on the road.

WORK DUTIES:
* Supervise construction activities on-site
* Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors
* Implement project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines
* Monitor safety protocols and compliance with OSHA regulations
* Collaborate with project managers for efficient project ex*****on
* Ensure all work is completed according to industry standards and project specifications

This project is a 30,000 SF new build out and our team was blessed to be part of it!
