The Craft of Gilding 🌟

For centuries, gold and silver finishes have been prized for their timeless beauty and symbolism of abundance, power, and longevity.

EverGreene carries this tradition into the modern era, restoring and creating gilded finishes for state capitols, sacred spaces, sculptures, and national landmarks.

For decades, EverGreene has worked alongside museum teams nationwide to protect collections, restore historic spaces, and keep these places alive for generations to come.

We're proud to spotlight 100+ projects—a testament to the remarkable stewardship happening across the country.

May is National Preservation Month 🍃

250 years into the American story, the landmarks and artworks that define it demand the same care and craft that brought them to life.

That's the work EverGreene Architectural Arts does every day.

Damaged. Faded. Missing entirely. 🎨

Historic wallpapers face countless threats—but they don't have to be lost forever. Through forensic investigation, lab analysis, and master craftsmanship, EverGreene conserves surviving wallcoverings and recreates what's been lost.

From cleaning and inpainting to full hand-screened reproductions—we bring period interiors back to their original glory.

Same Collection. New Story. ✨

The Princeton University Art Museum' s sweeping expansion was a chance to reimagining everything—including how the art lives within it.

EverGreene Architectural Arts supported this vision from the ground up, carefully extracting key artworks, coordinating conservation, and executing their precise reinstallation as part of a fully reconceived gallery environment.

Every piece was handled with the specialized care it demanded, and returned ready to be seen in a whole new light.

NY Sacred Sites Open House · May 16–17, 2026

For two days each spring, New York's most extraordinary sacred spaces open their doors to experience the art, craft, and history—free for all.

Don't miss the chance to see three New York landmark sacred spaces restored by EverGreene up close:

🛕 Temple Emanu-El, Upper East Side
One of the largest synagogues in the world, this landmark on Fifth Avenue blends Byzantine, Romanesque, and Art Deco magnificence.

⛪ Grace Church, Brooklyn Heights
Designed by master architect Richard Upjohn, this Gothic Revival gem held a brilliant secret: beneath layers of early-20th-century overpaint lay a celestial ceiling of more than one thousand eight-pointed stars on a royal blue ground.

🕍 Eldridge Street Synagogue, Lower East Side
The first great house of worship built in New York by Eastern European Jewish immigrants, described by the Jerusalem Post as among the most beautiful synagogues in the world.

Hidden In Plain Sight ✨

The spring edition of Preservation Magazine features the Hotel del Coronado—still captivating after 138 years. We're proud to have played a role in its ongoing story.

During a 2022 renovation, EverGreene Architectural Arts uncovered something extraordinary: a decorative ceiling mural, hidden behind a suspended ceiling and canvas covering. Evidence points to the mural dating to the hotel's original construction, making it one of the rarest surviving examples of 19th-century interior painted decoration in Southern California.
