🏙️ 500 Sq. Ft. NYC Sidewalk Violation Removal Project — Manhattan’s East Side
A fresh sidewalk for two neighboring buildings! Brick Tech Contracting Corp worked with property management to replace approximately 500 square feet of broken and deteriorated sidewalk, restoring a cleaner, more even walking surface.
🛠️ Project Scope & Work Details:
✅ Demolition & Debris Removal
Demolished the existing damaged concrete sidewalk and removed the broken concrete and construction debris from the work area.
✅ Ground Preparation & Leveling
Leveled and prepared the ground before installing the reinforcement and pouring the new concrete.
✅ Welded Wire Mesh Reinforcement
Installed welded wire mesh to reinforce the new sidewalk and help control cracking.
✅ Expansion Joint Installation
Installed expansion joints to accommodate concrete movement as temperatures change and help reduce stress between sidewalk sections.
✅ 4,000 PSI Ready-Mix Concrete
Poured new concrete at approximately 4 inches thick, using 4,000 PSI ready-mix concrete with Weather Tech chemical additive.
✅ Professional Broom Finish
Applied a uniform broom finish, creating a textured walking surface while giving the sidewalk a clean, consistent appearance.
✅ Expansion Joint Caulking
Caulked the expansion joints to help limit water entry through the joints and complete the finished installation.
