Wondering what clearing method is best for your needs, Forestry Mulching or Traditional Land Clearing?
Forestry mulching and land clearing are both methods used to manage vegetation, but they have some key differences:
Forestry Mulching
- **Method**: Uses a single machine, known as a forestry mulcher, to cut, grind, and clear vegetation in one step.
- **Outcome**: Mulches the vegetation back into the soil, creating a layer of mulch that can help prevent erosion and promote soil health.
- **Efficiency**: Generally faster and more efficient for clearing smaller areas or specific sections of land.
- **Environmental Impact**: Less disruptive to the soil structure and beneficial for returning nutrients to the soil.
Traditional Land Clearing
- **Method**: Involves multiple steps and equipment, such as excavators, and loaders to remove trees, shrubs, and other vegetation.
- **Outcome**: Typically results in completely cleared land, often leaving bare soil.
- **Efficiency**: More suitable for larger-scale projects where total removal of vegetation is required.
- **Environmental Impact**: Can be more disruptive to the land, potentially leading to soil erosion and loss of topsoil if not managed properly.
In our opinion Forestry mulching is great for expanding your yard, underbrushing smaller trees and vegetation, and gaining quick access to your property! Traditional methods of land clearing are best suited for when you plan on building a home because there is no root or “grubbings” under the foundation of the home or your yard.
