We are only about 6 days out, and JAA can use our help.
Please see ways to help below:
If anyone would like to help with the event, here is what is needed:
* Judge homebuilts as they come in (1-2 people additional)
* Cooking line (pancakes, sausage)
* Marshaller to help direct aircraft to park (1 person)
Just check in at the JAA table and let them know you're there to help!

Jeffco pilots and aviation enthusiasts—consider this your invitation to be part of something special at Greeley–Weld County Airport (KGXY) this June! For this year’s Short Wing Piper Club International Convention, we’re opening our tent wide to welcome the entire aviation community.

The Short Wing Piper Club celebrates the vintage and iconic Piper Vagabond, Clipper, Pacer, Tri-Pacer, and C**t — aircraft beloved for their versatility, ramp appeal, and the camaraderie they inspire among pilots.

Join us Wednesday, June 24 at 12:00 pm for an Aviation Community Barbecue at the airport picnic area—no registration required – only $15 (CHEAP!). Just show up, enjoy great food, swap stories, and connect with fellow aviators. While you’re there, take your experience to the next level with unforgettable warbird rides from the Commemorative Air Force.

Then, don’t miss the true highlight of the convention: our Thursday, June 25 banquet at 6:00 pm, featuring renowned keynote speaker Michael Maya Charles. His powerful presentation on becoming truly extraordinary—both in and out of the cockpit—will challenge, inspire, and elevate the way you think about flying and life. This is the pilot upgrade that you didn’t know you needed.

This Saturday at the EAA Chapter 43 monthly meeting, we will be voting in new officers for 2026. (President, VP and board members). Voting in person only. See you there!

Looking to connect with fellow aviation enthusiasts? Check out our Discord Server! Never heard of Discord before? It's essentially a group messaging platform. However, Discord gives you much more control over notifications, privacy, and topics than a group text would.

While it is not a requirement to use Discord to be a chapter member, we strongly encourage all members to use it. Our desire is to provide an effective way for members to communicate outside of chapter meetings and events to grow the sense of community among Chapter 43. 

Here's how to join:

1. Become a member of EAA and Chapter 43. You can become an EAA member at eaa.org and a chapter member by clicking Join or Renew.

2. Download the Discord App.

3. Create an account. See Discord's Beginners Guide if you get stuck.

4. Scan or tap the QR code below and apply to join the Chapter 43 server. A server admin should approve you shortly.

The August EAA Chapter 43 meeting will be this Saturday at the KBJC terminal building.

We will have a guest speaker Chris Guarente, who was an Air Force test pilot and has worked on the Boom Supersonic XB-1 program.

We'll see you this Saturday at 6pm!
