After almost 20yrs being out of production, I've decided to revive the Predator Wings series of EPP slope planes. I purchased the rights to these planes from "The Predator" Karl in 2008. Karl and I as well as a few other designers were actively developing fast EPP slopers back in late 2000s. Karl kitted and built many great flying EPP planes.
I talked with Karl yesterday and he's excited I decided to re-release kits based on his classic designs.
If you are new to sloping (joined the fun after 2008) you may not recognize Predator Wings. I encourage doing some digging on rcgroups to find the old build threads and flying videos.
Karl was also the person who perfected using laminating film as a covering material. He called it "New Stuff" covering. I have been selling it by the linear foot ever since.
Karl and Ian also perfected the curved ribbon spar method.
The new kits will come with carbon ribbons (Chevron wings) as well as New Stuff covering material.
It took some digging through the archives to get the plan forms and airfoils sorted but I believe we have the magic formulas figured out. I was one of Karl's foam core cutters back in the day and I found all the GMFC foam cutter files in my archives.
As of late there hasn't been a lot of EPP sloper kits available as many of the manufacturers form the 90s to recent have retired and are no longer producing them. I plan to fill some of the void in the market and hope to release more designs in the near future.
Kits will be sold direct from www.canuckengineering.com web store. Store will get updated in the next week or so while I wait for hardware and parts to arrive at the shop.
Kits will be available very soon! Foam cores are in the process of being cut for the 1st of many kits to come. Materials and hardware are on order to finish out kitting these classics.
I've been also testing some new build methods to skin hotwire cut EPP foam cores that will hopefully replace the thinned goop method with a faster and much less stinky method. Time will prove if I can match the durability of thinned goop builds. I did order 6 caulk tubes of Marine Goop and a large tub of lightweight spackle as a backup if my new idea doesn't work.

Kits will come with CNC cut 1.9 # EPP cores, CNC cut 1.9 # EPP Fuses, Laser cut Coroplast Fins, Full hardware kit, New Stuff covering, balsa elevons, carbon spar systems, and basic instructions.
Pricing isn't fully set per kit, but I plan to keep the costs low so these can be offered at reasonable pricing as I want to have offerings on my web store for new pilots or those looking for low cost fun.
