I really like the way the beam creates a covered outdoor living space in this Snake Hill addition. Although it doesnt deserve to be called an addition when it towers above the original structure.

New project coming along in Snake Hill area of Cheat Lake. These ICFs are the best way to have a dry, insulated underground/aboveground space. Tearing down some old parts of the building to make room for the new. New ground level, kitchen, and master bedroom suite will make this house functional and spacious.

Starting to transfer these old photos to electronic format. Blacksville timber frame circa 2005. Multiple species were collected and custom-sawn to form this frame: oak, cherry, ash, locust, black walnut, poplar, and pine all came together to make a home.

Site working in rocky Preston County. The house will be up on the cliff with mossy rock forest views. We have to make a mess to get access and to have a level spot for the house.

Proud to say Custom Contracting has been hired to cut timbers for John Garlow of Post and Beam Inc. This is an honor to have someone whos been in the business for 40 years recognize our pro timber work. This is work from the past that can make a modern house look so good.

Some photos from a house up on a ridge near Coopers Rock built a few years back. I don't have many finished pictures usually because I'm gone and working somewhere else when it is done, so I thought I'd share these. The oak beams have gained some character over time but still remain strong. Thanks C & C for the photoshoot and the opportunity to build your home!
