Bob Grant, carpenter extraordinaire, race car driver and job site counselor, is retiring after 15 years with GMWC. He has always brought a willingness to embrace innovation and change, a kind and thoughtful temperament and a “roll with the punches” attitude to the company. Bob is not one to back away from a challenge or complain about a difficult task, but always considers how it will impact others. We are very fortunate to have shared this time together and wish him all good things for this next phase of his life. Bonne chance!

This lovely home needed a welcoming entrance from the driveway. What used to be a leaking, 1980’s greenhouse was transformed into this beautiful year-round sun porch with access to the patio.

Sometimes you don’t want or need to do a total remodel in a bathroom. Our client decided to keep the floor tiles, shower and toilet, but replaced the vanity, mirror and accessories. With fresh paint on the walls, it looks like a new bathroom!

This laundry area also has to function as the entrance from the garage, a mudroom and a place to dry off a wet dog! It accomplishes all that and more with its tiled floor, new cabinets and counters with a stainless steel sink.

Look closely and you’ll see that the dishwasher and range swapped places in this kitchen remodel! The addition of white cabinets and updated lighting makes the whole space seem bigger, and the appliance swap creates a better workflow.

Our client wanted a room that she could dedicate to crafting and this little-used bedroom was the perfect spot! The glass doors on the left lead to the entrance hall and living room, while the sliding barn doors hide all the crafting supplies while not in use.

In this recently remodeled kitchen, our client wanted to reuse their existing appliances, which were new, plus they needed more storage space. The addition of white cabinets around the fridge and a floor to ceiling pantry added storage, utilized some wasted space and made the kitchen much brighter!

As promised in our last post, here is the remodeled sunroom! What used to be more of a three-season room with awkward furniture placement (see “before” photos ➡️) is now a light-filled living area.

In the second photo, the red sofa is on the wall where the glass doors into the primary bedroom used to be. Removing the doors turned two rooms into much more enjoyable (and useable) spaces!

Sometimes there’s a door where you just don’t want one. That was the case in this home, where there were glass doors between the sunroom and the primary suite (see the “before” photos ➡️). When the doors were removed, it made the perfect spot for the bed and made the sunroom more useable too. Stay tuned for sunroom photos, coming up!

The dining room in this 1920’s bungalow could only be accessed through the original butlers pantry. Now this new pass-through makes serving and clean-up much easier, as well as framing both the original windows in the dining room and the new ones in the kitchen (➡️)
