This non-stop wind has caused havoc all day for our members. Our crews repaired another broken pole in Montpelier behind the fairgrounds.

UPDATE, 9 am - Power has been restored. The wind has not lessened in intensity so our operations department will continue to monitor the system closely for problems and will respond as needed.
Thanks to all our members for your patience.

We have lost transmission power on the east side of our system due to the windy conditions. The video shows a quick view of the “bells” coming in contact with the lines which disrupts power. Our crews are out running the lines now and will have power restored as quickly and safely as possible.

Update, 12:00 am - Correction to our earlier information. The issue was discovered to be tree limbs on our transmission lines. Our crew has cleared the limbs and will be restoring power as soon as possible.

OUTAGE ALERT, 12/28/25, 11:15 pm
The members on the west side of our system are currently without power due to an outage on the AEP transmission lines. We do not have an estimated restoration time available but we are continuing to monitor the situation.
