A recent storm left my Voron 2.4 completely unresponsive—black display, no web interface, and zero signs of life. ⚡️❌
​Before tearing down the Manta board or throwing money at new parts, I was able to take a deep dive into the logs because the board powered up. Klipper crashed on boot because it lost connection to the toolhead board (EBBCan), leaving the whole machine seemingly paralyzed.
​I pulled out a spare board ready to swap it, but the original hardware actually survived! The power drop just wiped the MCU's communication configuration.
​All it took was jumping into SSH, running make menuconfig to rebuild the firmware file, flashing it back over CAN, and restarting the system. No hardware swap required! 🛠️🖨️✨

The Voron is down. I repeat. The Voron is down!

Last year I bought the Chaoticlab Carbon Fiber Bracket Kit for Voron 2.4 R2 (Amazon ASIN/Label Code: X004LO1M4Z) on September 5th. I've managed to put enough stress on it to mangle it up pretty good. I noticed it started making some clicking noises and decided to investigate. While doing so all XY travel seized up. Upon closer inspection I found one of the internal 20T toothed idler bearings in the AB mount assembly recently seized up after extended use. Before I caught it, the seized bearing race spun against the red anodized idler pin/shaft, causing severe scoring and wearing down the metal shaft diameter.

I sent an email [email protected] because I don't know if these are available. We will see.

New deck box for fam. We installed a new nozzle on the v6 and lost all layer lines. I'm really pleased with the quality on these. It looks like we're ready for production.
