Before there can be sheet, rod, tube, or even 3D filament -- there must be resin. These little Unfilled PEEK polymer pellets must be heated between 650°F to 750°F before they will become malleable enough to push through an extruder. Think of the process like on of those old glue guns, the ones where you always burned your hand on the metal tip... except way hotter, way harder to control, and way, way, way more expensive to screw up.

Meet John & Matt Jarrett

John Jarrett is the President and founder of Jarrett Plastics Inc., a family owned manufacturers’ representative group covering 25 states, from the Midwest to the Northeast U.S., and the 6 Eastern Canadian Provinces. John has been working in the Industrial Plastics industry for 49 years, starting with his first job at Modern Plastics in 1971 in Miami, Florida. Later, John was the General Manager of Curbell Plastics in Orchard Park, New York from 1978 to 1993. His extensive knowledge and deep rooted connections in the industry have allowed Jarrett Plastics Inc. to thrive since its inception in July, 1993.

John’s son, Matt, operates the Jarrett Plastics Northeast branch out of Freeport, Maine and covers territory ranging from Maryland to Nova Scotia and everywhere in between. Together they handle Eastern Canada and the Maritimes for King Plastic.
