Engine beam cap repairs on both sides of a Cessna 421C.
Textron's method (complete disassembly/reassembly of both engine support structures & skins) would have cost the customer nearly $50k. Wingfield Aviation worked closely with our DER & was able to obtain APPROVED repair data, which ultimately will cost the customer half of what they originally expected w/ Textron's initial method. 💰
In the process of removing the engine, we also discovered a heavily cracked cylinder that was missed during Annual Inspection from the shop the aircraft was just ferried over from. 😯
