Severe storm are possible across a large part of Central and Eastern Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana into Southern Mississippi today. Large hail, damaging winds and an isolated tornado are possible. Eastern Texas across Northern Louisiana will likely see more severe storms as a line of storms develops and produces strong, possibly damaging winds this afternoon/evening.

The greatest chance for large hail will be with a few supercells that develop across Central Texas northward into Western/Central Oklahoma. HailCON ™ values are a 4 across Central and Eastern Texas this afternoon and evening. Meaning there is a 40% chance of 1" hail within 50 miles of any one location.

Severe storms are likely Friday across a large area from Central Oklahoma and North Texas eastward into the Southeastern U.S.

A cold front will ignite a line of strong to severe thunderstorms early Friday morning across Central Oklahoma southward into North Texas and this line of storms will move rapidly eastward during the day across the Southeast U.S. Damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes are all possible with this line of storms as it move across the South. The area at risk of the largest, most coverage of hail is North Central Texas and Oklahoma where mid-level temperatures are coldest.
