Everyone meet Ezequiel! 👋

Ezequiel is the Plant Manager at Basden Steel's Briaroaks (KCR) facility in Burleson and has been a valued member of the Basden Team for 14 years!

His favorite part about working at Basden Steel is the people. He considers his coworkers to be his Basden family and especially enjoys getting together with everyone at the annual Basden Christmas party. To Ezequiel, being an Employee Owner means taking pride in his work every day, knowing that his efforts contribute to something bigger and help create a stronger future for everyone.

Outside of work, Ezequiel loves spending time with his amazing wife and their two beautiful daughters! His interests involve weightlifting, outdoor activities with his girls, and watching scary movies with his eldest daughter.

Everyone meet Karen! 👋

Karen is a Divisional Accountant at our Burleson location and has been part of the Basden Steel team for 11 years. When asked what she enjoys most about working here, her answer was simple: the people. From company parties (especially Halloween 🎃), employee appreciation events, and fun giveaways to the flexibility and support of her team, Karen says her coworkers feel like family.

As an employee-owner, Karen values the security that comes with ownership. To her, ESOP means more than just a paycheck—it means building equity and retirement security without any out-of-pocket investment.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys gardening, reading, and baking. If you've spent any time in our Burleson office, chances are you've enjoyed one of her homemade treats! She also loves spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and new grandson. When she's not with family, you can find her taking road trips with her husband or spending time with her cats.

As August begins, we want to wish all students, teachers, and families a successful and exciting school year!

At Basden Steel, we're proud to support our local schools and invest in the next generation. One way we do that is through Steel Day, where students get a hands-on look at careers in the skilled trades. From welding and fitting to truck driving, crane operation, and more, Steel Day helps introduce students to the many rewarding opportunities our industry has to offer.

We're excited to welcome a new group of students this fall and play a small part in helping them explore their future.

Everyone Meet Luis! 👋

Luis is a Fitter for our Basden Architectural Metals (BAM) division and has been with us for 33 years! His favorite part of the job is welding and helping people; as well as all the friendships he has made throughout the years. He appreciates that Basden Steel is Employee Owned as he sees it as an opportunity that has allowed him a long-term career at BAM.

When not at work, Luis loves being with his family and playing with his grandchildren in the park. They like to play ball, make jokes, and eat snow cones!

Yesterday, we had the privilege of partnering with Meals on Wheels North Central Texas to sponsor 952 meals for seniors throughout our community.

A huge thank you to the members of our Burleson team who volunteered their time to help deliver meals and friendly smiles to those who needed them most. We're also incredibly grateful to the Meals on Wheels team for the life-changing work they do every day.

Through nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks, Meals on Wheels helps older adults maintain their independence, health, and well-being. We're proud to support their mission and give back to the communities that have supported us for so many years.

Our Mid-South footprint just got stronger👏

Effective June 1, Basden Steel proudly acquired Providential Fabricators, an AISC-certified structural steel fabrication shop in Memphis, Tennessee.

This acquisition is a natural fit. Located just across the Mississippi River from our new Arkansas operation, Memphis strengthens our presence in one of the nation's premier logistics corridors—expanding our fabrication capacity, enhancing regional coverage, and allowing us to better serve clients throughout the Mid-South.

As a 100% employee-owned company, we don't grow simply for the sake of growth. We grow to create more opportunities for our employee-owners, strengthen the value we deliver to our clients, and continue building a company positioned for long-term success.

We're excited to welcome the Providential Fabricators team to our ESOP family and look forward to what we'll build together!
