Spring is a season of growth.

We are proud to partner with grazers across our solar portfolio to help manage vegetation in around our arrays by deploying sheep. This collaboration is a great example of how farming and solar can work together.

You know the saying, "April showers bring May flowers!" The arrival of spring also brings with it more sunshine and solar power to the grid.

Construction continues at our Brighton 1 and 2 Solar projects in Brighton, Illinois. Once online, these two new solar projects will be delivering 9 MW of affordable and reliable community solar to Ameren customers.

We believe in keeping the community in community solar!

We're excited to team up with Community Power Coalition of New Hampshire during NH Energy Week for a drop-in open house at the Poverty Plains Solar Project in Warner, NH.

Built on a former gravel pit, this 20-acre site features 12,000 solar panels generating enough electricity to power more than 1,000 New England homes—demonstrating how communities can turn underutilized land into local energy solutions.

Stop by to tour the site, meet the project partners and learn how models like group net metering allow municipalities to benefit from shared solar.

2025 was a defining year for solar and storage. Despite significant industry headwinds, solar and energy storage made up 79% of new electric capacity added to the U.S. grid in 2025, and we're proud to be part of that momentum.

A few highlights from the year:

⚡ 28 MWh of energy storage energized — including Nava Storage, our 5MW/20MWh battery energy storage system in Royalton, VT

🌿 106 acres of solar grazing, supporting small family farms and improving long term soil quality across VT, ME, and NY

💛 $100K pledged to host communities through our Community Impact Donation program

👥 12 new team members added, bringing our total to 51 mission-focused professionals, and we were named one of Vermont's Best Places to Work for the second year running

Encore’s avoided emissions in 2025 are equivalent to the carbon sequestration of 2,000 acres of national forest.

With nearly 90 MWdc of solar and storage to be constructed and commissioned in 2026, we're on track to nearly double the clean energy we've delivered over the past 15 years.

Everyone is facing the reality of our rising energy demand with rising energy costs.

At Encore Renewable Energy, we are meeting this challenge head on, delivering affordable and reliable power through solar and energy storage across the country.

According to Solar Energy Industries Association's latest Solar Market Insight Report, 79% of new capacity installed in 2025 came from solar and storage.

And we're just getting started.

💡 Responsible land stewardship in solar can mean many different things, from priotizing redevelopment of brownfields and other underutilized lands to minimizing soil compaction during construction. It also means supporting wildlife habitat.

Encore projects use agricultural fencing that accommodates small mammals, maintaining the safety of the array while retaining free movement for local critters.

Recently, an Encore construction manager saw a fox trotting around our I Love Cows project; clearly, the fox had no trouble finding its way in and out of the fenced area. We love to see a thoughtful design working exactly as intended!

Today, we announced that construction is underway on six Encore community solar projects in Illinois. They'll be the first of our nearly 60MW portfolio to reach energization in the state this year. Each will also incorporate agrivoltaics through our partnership with Agrivoltaic Solutions LLC.
