LIQUID NAILS Brand Community Guidelines
We want every online Liquid Nails community to be safe, helpful, laid back — and hopefully fun — for you and all our other users, whether you're on a forum, blog, or any other social media page. Just in case there's any question about what's cool and what's not, we created some simple guidelines. Please do:
- Share your ideas and your own content. That inc
ludes:
o Appropriate pictures, videos and comments
o Alternate points of view
o Friendly debate
o Online sources where you found information
- "Overshare" — in a good way. When you're posting a recommendation or question, the more context and details you can give, the better.
- Follow the golden rule. That is, treat others the way you want to be treated. Even though we all may not always agree, we'll all be better off if we show each other respect and mind our manners.
- Give credit where it's due. If you post content you got from another person, website or other source, just be clear about where you got it.
- Tell us if something's wrong. If you see problem content or a user causing trouble, please use the "report abuse" function to let us know.
- Post with purpose. We love to see genuine, meaningful interactions and posts that can inspire or encourage other users. On the other hand, please do NOT be:
- Rude
o No cyber-bullying or personal attacks. o Don't insult, harass, defame, intimidate, threaten or impersonate others. o Please don't vent or rant. It's OK to share an opinion, but most users would rather not read a novel about it. o Respect other people's privacy. o Don't post something just to get a reaction out of people. Trolls are people who post things intended to get other people's blood boiling. Replying to them is like feeding them. The best pest control is to simply use the "report abuse" function. We'll take it from there. o Don't say anything you wouldn't say in person. o Don't get sucked into a repetitive argument. Some threads could go on forever because everyone wants the last word. Once you've made your point, move on.
- A spammer
o Don't advertise or promote a business, product or website, commercial or otherwise. o Don’t post links that are unrelated to the topic. o Don't solicit other people for personal or financial gain. That includes posts like "Will you add me as a contact?"
- Offensive
o Don’t post "adult" content, especially anything sexual or violent in nature. o Avoid profanity, and keep it clean. o Don’t encourage violence or harm to anyone. o When in doubt, don't say or do it. Remember, even if it’s not offensive to you, it might be to other people.
- Illegal
o Don’t share content that isn't yours. This includes other people’s photos and videos, and/or things that you've copied or collected from the internet. o Don’t post anything that's against the laws of your country, state, province, or city. o Don’t discuss how to commit illegal activity. o Don’t provoke or encourage violence.
- Misleading
o Don’t pretend to be someone you're not or claim false expertise. o Don't give advice that might cause someone harm. We like to give second chances, but overstepping these boundaries could result in your post being removed, and possibly in you being banned, without warning. Please don't make us do that. If you're offended by content in a Liquid Nails online community, even if you're not sure it violates any of these guidelines, you can report it by sending us an inbox message. We'll check it out and take action if needed. That's it for now. But please keep in mind that we may update these guidelines anytime without notice, so we recommend you check back every once in a while.
