We announced a leadership transition that will help guide the company into its next chapter of growth. Effective January 1, 2027, Theresa E. Wagler will become President and Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Mark D. Millett as he transitions to Executive Chairman of the Board.

To maintain a safe environment for all of our teammates, SDI requires that a Hot Work Permit be filled out and approved before any operation involving open flames, heat production, or sparks.

Here are a few of the many precautions outlined in our Hot Work Permits that we should all follow at work and at home:
• Ensure a fire extinguisher is readily available.
• All combustible materials within 35ft should be removed or shielded with flame-retardant covers.
• Ensure that a properly trained fire watch is provided during all hot work, and for at least 30 minutes after.
