🏠 NEW BUILD UNDERWAY | BURNS FAMILY GUEST HOUSE

Another one is officially started! 💪

Today we kicked off dirt work on the Burns family guest house—getting the site prepped, digging footings, and laying the groundwork for what’s going to be a beautiful new addition to their property.

There’s something about starting with nothing but dirt and a set of plans… then watching it turn into a home. 🔨🏠

We’ll be sharing the progress from dirt work ➡️ foundation ➡️ framing ➡️ all the way to the finished product.

🚧 BIG BATHROOM ADDITION UNDERWAY! 🚧

This one is getting the full custom treatment. 🔨

We’re building out a brand-new master bathroom addition while converting the existing master bathroom into a custom master closet. New layout, new purpose, and a whole lot of detail going into every step.

This isn’t just a remodel — we’re completely reworking the space to fit the homeowner and give them the master suite they’ve been wanting.

Lots of custom work on this one, and it’s going to be 🔥 when we’re finished.

🏡 NEW BUILD KICKOFF | HERNANDO, MS 🔨

Another one getting ready to come out of the ground! 💪

We’re excited to get started on a new guest house for the Burns family in Hernando, Mississippi. The homeowner and I got the layout exactly where we want it, and dirt work is up next!

There’s something about standing on an empty piece of ground knowing that before long, there’ll be a finished home sitting there. From layout ➡️ dirt work ➡️ foundation ➡️ framing ➡️ FINISHED PRODUCT — we’re taking y’all along for the entire build.

SATURDAY LOOKS A LITTLE DIFFERENT WHEN YOU OWN A BUSINESS. 🔨📱👨‍👩‍👦

Spending time with the family today, but the wheels are still turning at Taylor & Sons Construction.

✅ Finishing up quotes
✅ Conference calls
✅ Checking on jobs
✅ Making sure next week is lined up
✅ And most importantly — making time for family

Owning a construction company means the work doesn’t always stop when Friday ends. There’s a lot that happens behind the scenes before the first tool ever comes out of the truck.

But I wouldn’t trade it.

Work hard. Take care of your customers. Take care of your people. And never get so busy building a business that you forget who you’re building it for.

Another week of showing up, getting dirty, solving problems, and turning somebody’s vision into reality.

Construction isn’t always pretty behind the scenes. It’s early mornings, hot days, heavy materials, unexpected problems, and figuring out how to get the job done RIGHT.

But there’s something satisfying about looking back on Friday and seeing what your crew accomplished that wasn’t there Monday.

🔥 HOT WEATHER. ROTTEN WOOD. NO EXCUSES. 🔨

This balcony had seen better days—rotted wood, failing structure, and ready for a complete rebuild. So we’re tearing it down and building it back the RIGHT way. 💪

And yeah… Mississippi heat is showing out today 🥵☀️, but the work doesn’t stop when the temperature goes up.
