Well, this is pretty cool… we welcomed local vendor #100 this morning! ❤️
When vendors join our shop, we assign them a number, and #100 has been waiting for a spot! We’ll introduce him and show you what he makes later today. 👀
Now, do we have 100 local vendors in the shop right now? Nope! We currently have 66. Over the years some have come and gone for different reasons, and we appreciate every single one who has been part of our shop.
We’ve heard, “Not everything in there is local.”
Nope, it’s not—and it was never meant to be.
We have a BIG store to fill, and from the beginning our goal was to create a successful gift shop with a huge focus on local makers, while also bringing in a great mix of products so you can walk in needing a gift and have plenty to choose from.
About 50% of our shop is LOCAL. For the rest, we try VERY hard to source Wisconsin-made, Minnesota-made and USA-made whenever possible. Occasionally we’ll bring in a high-demand product made elsewhere because it’s something we know our customers are looking for—
We’re proud of the mix we’ve created, and especially proud that 100 local vendors have now been part of our shop. ❤️
