A stunning way to show off your best friend or a beautiful memorial to those no longer with us. Our dogs have a hand-sanded finish so no two are exactly alike. Metal Rescue silhouettes are handmade in the United States from sturdy 11 gauge premium weathering steel, also known as Corten steel. They are designed to develop a beautiful patina rust coating that will change over time, protecting the st

eel underneath. This silhouette ships out as raw steel and will expand its patina if left in the weather or frequently exposed to wet conditions. The color of the patina should change over time, starting with brighter orange tones and changing to darker brown tones. These silhouettes are now also available in black! Black Metal Rescue silhouettes are powder coated in a finely textured black that will hold up to the weather and maintain their original appearance for years to come!

I gave the American Pit Bull Terrier metal silhouette to my daughter and her husband upon the death of their beloved Baker. It sits in the front yard outside a window he loved to watch the birds and squirrels from. You also see it as you walk up to the front door. I say hi to Baker every time I visit and tell him how much I miss him! The Corten steel is developing a nice patina.
