Recently, our Mohawk team had the honor of being recognized as the Corporate Partner of the Year at the Latin American Association - Asociación Latinoamericana's 37th Annual Compañeros Luncheon. We're proud to partner with the LAA in Northwest Georgia through several annual initiatives, including the Back to School Bash, the Dalton-Whitfield Latino Youth Leadership Conference, and English classes for adults. Since 2019, this partnership has helped expand access to valuable resources and support the communities where we live and work. We're grateful for the opportunity to be part of this impact and to support the meaningful work of the Latin American Association. 👏

Future Leaders Week is back! 🏢 This summer, Mohawk is hosting our annual week-long program for future leaders to learn, develop & job-shadow with Mohawk leadership in Northwest Georgia! The program will take place at our corporate office in Calhoun, Georgia, and is open to rising high school juniors, seniors, and first-year college students.

Congratulations to our Mexicali Pad & Cushion team and the Foss-Huffaker Road team in Rome, GA, on achieving Level 1, “The Mohawk Standard,” in our Safety Management System. The SMS is a Mohawk safety initiative that provides a systematic and disciplined approach to managing safety risks while continuously improving all workplace safety elements. Mohawk is proud to partner once again with Georgia United Credit Union on the School Crashers grant program, an initiative that transforms learning environments across Georgia. Since 2014, Mohawk has donated flooring and rugs to help create more inspiring spaces for students.

This summer, five Georgia schools, including Northwest Georgia College and Career Academy in Dalton, will receive LVT and rugs donated by Mohawk Group, paint, furniture, and more to help refresh their learning environments! We’re honored to play a role in school makeover projects that help students learn, create, and thrive. 🎉

This week, members of our Project Management and HR teams had the opportunity to speak with a Project Management class and participate in an Alumni & Employer Panel at Dalton State College. During their visit, our teams shared real-world perspectives on project management, along with PMO insights to help prepare future leaders. They also discussed their own career journeys, highlighting how internships can serve as a launchpad for early careers. We’re proud to partner with Dalton State and connect with the next generation of talent. 👏

"During my time as a University Relations Intern at Mohawk, I gained hands-on experience across the full recruitment cycle and learned how meaningful great recruiting can be for both our teams and our candidates. Working closely with different business units and HR leaders helped me understand how each part of the process connects and how HR supports the people who keep Mohawk moving. That level of early exposure built a strong foundation in recruiting, talent pipeline support, and relationship-building, and sparked my passion for staying involved in the full cycle of employment.

My internship prepared me to step confidently into my role as an HR Coordinator, where I now get to support employees beyond the recruitment phase and continue making an impact. I'm grateful for the opportunity to grow with Mohawk and keep contributing to the work that first inspired me during my internship."

Team Mohawk recently visited the Dalton Academy to serve as judges for their 3DE Junior Achievement case challenge created by Mohawk. During this experience, students had the opportunity to connect their education to real-world careers by collaborating in teams to present solutions for the case challenge. After their presentations, the students toured our Light Lab and Training Center in Dalton, Georgia, to learn more about Mohawk and explore potential career paths. Our team was impressed by the quality of the presentations and the innovative ideas shared during the competition.
