infoBoard in Thailand -Mr. Doberstein our sales manager for Asia reports:
According to the management consult McKinsey, Southeast Asia is one of the fastest growing economies worldwide, with Thailand as one of the mainstays. This makes it very attractive for the company infoBoard and for me personally to be present in Thailand.
In addition to the atmosphere of economic growth, the multicultural experience in Thailand is felt every day. Not only do you notice it in the weather and food, but also in the customs of the people. People do not greet by shaking hands, but fold both hands in front of their chest. This traditional greeting is called "Wai".
Perhaps this behavior is also a reason for Thailand's good performance in dealing with Corona ...
By working on the other side of the world, you encounter various challenges. You have to consider a time difference of 5 or 6 hours, if you work on the same projects as colleagues from the Hamburg office or make appointments with customers from the German-speaking region.
It is easy to lose the overview and it gets even worse the more participants are involved. To avoid this, we use our own tool, the planning board from infoBoard as a planning tool and means of communication. We all can see the availability of our colleagues. It is easy to make appointments or add colleagues to a project.
On away appointments, the mobile applications from infoBoard are very helpful. With these apps I can access all information anywhere and anytime with just a few clicks. Optionally, I can use my mobile weekly and monthly calendar as a web application in the browser or my infoBoard Calendar App.
I also want our customers to benefit from my international experience, during my on-site appointments. It is important to me to bring the strengths of the different mentalities closer to our customers.
Our Thai customers are particularly impressed by the product and process quality of German companies. In the same breath, however, the Asians are surprised how backward the German middle class is when it comes to digitization. The Technical University of Mittelhessen (THM) comes to the same conclusion in its "Study on the Status of Digitization of Business Processes in Medium-Sized Enterprises". Anyone who does not face the challenges of digitalization now will no longer be competitive in 5 to 10 years and will be left behind. With the digital planning board from infoBoard you are already well positioned here and if you want to be two steps ahead of the competition, you should plan in real time and fully automated and updated with the infoBoard Application Server. You save personnel costs because your production planner will invest less time in the planning and your company will still be very well positioned in the coming years.
Various projects are still being planned for Southeast Asia. That is why you will read or hear from me more often in the future. Eventually also from a colleague at another infoBoard location in Asia.
Until then, Daniel Doberstein
