58 new residential units across six stories in the heart of Berkeley. Designed by Levy Design Partners and built by our team with the same care and precision we bring to every project -- from the ground-floor amenity spaces to the courtyard, to the last detail on the top-floor breezeway.

Halstead | Pasadena, Southern California

Foundation work is in full swing at Halstead. Bldg B shear wall footing concrete placement is underway while Bldg A is in active footing excavation, rebar installation, and elevator pit waterproofing, multiple critical scopes running simultaneously and on sequence. These drone shots capture just how much coordination goes into this phase, where every marker, every line, and every measurement is intentional.
This is what early engineering alignment looks like in the field. By the time the team reaches this stage, the plan is clear, the crew is locked in, and the work speaks for itself.

The Moshav project just hit a significant milestone with the delivery and installation of rooftop heat pumps and solar panels, a visible commitment to sustainable, energy-forward design. Meanwhile, exterior siding and stucco are taking shape on the outside while drywall and soffit work continue to define the spaces within.

Today, we're raising a glass to Krystal Gonzalez, a cornerstone of the WEST Builders family since 2006.
Twenty years is no small thing. Krystal has weathered shifting economies, survived software migrations (we all know how those go), and helped grow this company into what it is today, all while holding the finance team together with equal parts precision and grace.

Managing the "cash in" side of a growing construction business takes a rare blend of diligence and diplomacy. Krystal? She makes it look easy. Her steady hand and sharp instincts have been a quiet force behind every project we've delivered, every milestone we've hit.

But beyond the numbers, Krystal is the kind of colleague who makes showing up feel worth it. She's a devoted wife to Mike, a proud mom of three, and a certified dog mom of two. She brings that same heart to everything she does here.

2587 Telegraph | Berkeley, Northern California

From permits filed to panels installed, 2587 Telegraph has been a project defined by collaboration, careful planning, and a team that never cuts corners.

Standing at 85 feet, this development brings 52 apartments and ground-floor retail to one of Oakland's most active corridors. Seeing it rise from the street like this is a reminder of why we do this work. Not just to build structures, but to build places where people will live, gather, and grow.

Nearly there. And it looks exactly like it should.

Residency at the Entrepreneur, 200 units of affordable senior housing delivered in Hollywood. Nine stories built specifically for independent seniors, situated directly across from the Hollywood/Western B Line subway station.

The exterior comes in bold terracotta red, warm gold, and white panel cladding with large-format glazing across all elevations.

Inside, common areas are fully finished with warm tones, hardwood flooring, and generous natural light throughout.

The interior courtyard is clean and complete, and upper-floor units have open city views across Hollywood.

The Residency at the Empire is completed and delivered.

This seven-story, 148-unit affordable housing development sits directly adjacent to Robert E. Gross Park and replaces a former commercial site that was a fixture in the neighborhood for years.

The exterior comes in strong with a red masonry base, white panel cladding across the upper floors, and a building footprint that commands its block at a major intersection. Inside, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units are finished out with white shaker cabinets, dark countertops, stainless steel appliances, and dark hardwood flooring throughout, built for households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income.

Corridors are clean, in-unit laundry is built into every layout, and the ground-level outdoor amenity space includes a fully installed playground on synthetic turf.

Main waste service installation has begun at The Halstead. The trench is open, and green PVC pipe is being set into place for the main waste lines for the three buildings, with excavators working both ends of the run. This is one of several major underground utility milestones on the job, getting the underground infrastructure in the ground before the slab work begins.

Prior to grading and utilities, the site underwent ground improvement with Keller North America installing vibro-stone columns in lieu of the old practice of over-excavating and recompacting the site. A drill rig bores 20' pilot holes into which gravel is placed and compacted under high pressure, effectively compacting the ground around each location until the entire site is improved.

Exterior cladding is wrapping up at 2587 Telegraph. The panel transitions are clean, the corners are detailed precisely, and the mix of materials: terracotta cladding, horizontal wood accent panels, and large-format glazing is coming together exactly as designed.

Scaffolding is down on the completed elevations, and the building is starting to show its full character. Solid ex*****on from the crew on a complex exterior package.
