“Artificial intelligence and machine learning have seen a huge jump in recent years, as the ability to leverage a reliable predictive model, coupled with historic data sets, can do wonders for anticipating future demand. AI models can improve efficiencies by reducing the guesswork from the process, reducing costs and saving time to focus on sales and operation planning. According to McKinsey Digital, AI-powered forecasting can reduce supply chain errors by 30% to 50%.”

Because many supply chains were built without scalability and resilience in mind, they’re much more likely to cause barriers, delays or just simply collapse when disruption strikes—making the importance of building resiliency top of mind for many supply chain leaders.

Distribution yards today aren’t running at their full potential. Just watch how many vehicles are temporarily blocked from completing their route due to an unsuccessful parking attempt.

At ISEE, we’re building an autonomous yard truck solution that gives operators more consistent driving performances and greater visibility so vehicles can safely navigate dynamic environments like the one you see in this video.

Just now
Applying AI to the supply chain isn’t a trend. It’s predicted that by 2025, over 80% of new supply chain applications will use data science and AI in some way, according to tech research firm Gartner.

Nice to know we’re not the only ones who nerd out on supply chains! Hear insights from the data analysts who’ve become “freight famous” as the supply chain went from a niche topic to one of global interest.

When old rules of global commerce no longer seem to apply, masters of esoteric data — ocean shipping container times, anyone? — are thrust into the limelight.

The coronavirus pandemic upended supply chains around the world, leading to shipping backlogs, product shortages, and the fastest inflation in decades. But according to a report released by White House economists, the pandemic only exposed vulnerabilities in the supply chain that were already there. These issues won’t go away when the pandemic ends. As climate change leads to increased natural disasters, the need to make our supply chain more resilient is becoming even more imperative.

At ISEE, we’re bringing advanced AI to the global supply chain because we know that in order to make our supply chain more resilient and efficient, we need to bring it into the 21st century with leading-edge technology.

The administration’s economic advisers see climate change and other factors complicating global trade patterns for years to come.

It’s Friday and you know what that means, time for another oddly satisfying autonomous video. Watch two of our autonomous yard trucks predict each other’s presence and then pass each other seamlessly in a tight distribution yard environment.
