Event web page
We'd like to make sure that you all have a great time. A few logistics points
we want to share:
Weather:
• we arranged for warm temperatures and no rain throughout the day
but it gets chilly quickly after sundown, so dress in layers!
Location
• Maynard Rod and Gun Club, 45 Old Mill Rd, Maynard, MA 01754.
• Look for our sign at the Old Mill Road - Waltham Street intersection.
• Free parking is available next to the club, with plenty of spaces.
Venue
• This is an outdoor event with a large covered, open-sided pavilion.
• No assigned seating. About 300 people can be seated at the picnic
tables.
• There is a stage inside the pavilion, where all music & dancing will
take place.
• Next to the pavilion, there is a large open field for anyone to enjoy
the New England Fall weather and the outdoor activities we have for
kids
Waiver, kids activities
• We arranged for a bouncy house so little ones can have fun, but it
requires us to have parents sign waivers. Kids whose parent signs
the form get a bouncy-house wristband that allows them to use the
bouncy castle.
• There are other kids’ activities as well, including a giant JENGA,
co****le, soccer, – until dusk.
Food & drinks (see more details on flip side)
• Included in your ticket are the entertainment, the access to special
vendors and cultural events. Food and drinks are not included in
your ticket.
• We will offer complimentary water.
• It is the biggest fundraiser event of the year for the Hungarian
Society of Massachusetts - any profit made will be used to organize
and sponsor other cultural events.
• Additionally, the scouts and the Hungarian school (Boskola are also
running their fundraiser: you can purchase food and drinks form the
scouts, and books and other gifts from Boskola to support them.
• Please bring CASH and small bills - preferred over credit cards
• Major credit cards will be accepted, along with PayPal and Zelle –
though we still encourage cash to move things along faster (and not
to be at the mercy of tech). Some vendors might not accept cards.
• We expect to run out of food by 6-7pm, so if you come to eat, please
arrive early.
• Food will be available for food tickets, tickets will be able to be
purchased inside, in the festival area.
• We invited other vendors who sell food and other crafts – these
vendors set their own prices.
• Drinks (including wine and beer and other drinks) can be purchased
from the bar that is operated by the venue (3pm-11pm).
No outside alcohol is allowed on the premises. The venue has a strict
policy with zero tolerance for any guests that have outside liquor.
They will be asked to leave.
Check-in / Tickets
• Look for the check-in table near the pavilion. You will receive a
wristband. Only people wearing wristbands can enter the event, and
be served food.
• If you do not have a prepaid ticket, you may purchase it at the door
($35 per person, or $100 for families of 2 adults and 1 or more
children living in the same household).
• At the entrance we will have a list of names who bought tickets in
advance.
• You can purchase food tickets ($6 each) inside the festival area.
