Community Math Meet-Up at Franklin Park Zoo
📍 Franklin Park Zoo | 🗓 Thursday, August 28th | 2:00–4:00 PM
Join MathTalk for a special family-friendly math adventure at the Franklin Park Zoo! 🎉
We’ll kick things off with a guided exploration of the Math! Everywhere! app inside the zoo—discovering the math hidden in animal exhibits, habitats, and the world around us. Afterward, families will have plenty of free time to explore the zoo on your own, continue using the app, and enjoy time with your kiddos. This is our rescheduled date since the zoo was closed on Saturday, 8/23 for the Caribbean Festival.
✨ Event Highlights:
Free admission for registered families (covered by MathTalk + Franklin Park Zoo)
A fun, casual introduction to the Math! Everywhere! app in a real-world setting
Time to ask questions and get app support directly from the MathTalk team
Space is limited—50 tickets available (up to 4 people per family)
Sign-up required; form will close once all tickets are reserved
The Boston College research team has a short survey they’d like to give to app users. It takes 5 min and is anonymous. If you take the survey you will receive a $10 Amazon gift card. If you are interested, you can meet the researchers at Zebra Gate entrances at 1:30 before the event starts or at 4pm at the end of the event.
Come join us for a playful afternoon of math, animals, and exploration. 🦁🐒🐧
What math do you think we’ll find at the zoo?
