It is with heavy hearts that we share our sorrow over the unexpected passing of our dear friend, Chris Metts.
Metts, as we referred to him, was so much more than a contractor or someone we worked alongside—he was a genuine longtime friend and someone who meant a great deal to all of us at NIACO Construction. He and Chris (NIACO) shared a friendship that spanned many years, making this loss especially heartbreaking.
Metts always stayed in touch, would call to check on us, and stop by our office just to keep in touch on the way to and from job sites. He was always sending leads our way, recommending our company, and we were always happy to return the favor. We looked out for each other, supported one another, worked with each other constantly and built a friendship that went far beyond work.
We will always remember how cheerful he was, cracking jokes, and finding a way to make those around him smile. He truly enjoyed life and was always a pleasure to be around.
He was a proud Clemson fan, loved camping, loved his family, and took great pride in his work and his business. He was a loving husband, a father of two, a hardworking business owner, and most importantly, a great friend.
This loss is truly heartbreaking, and Metts will be missed more than words can express. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, children, family, friends, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving him during this incredibly difficult time.
Rest easy, Metts. Thank you for the friendship, the laughs, the conversations. You were a true friend, and you will never be forgotten.
