One of the most exciting moments in any renovation project is reaching the turning point between demolition and rebuilding.

These photos capture the final stages of demo as we prepare to move into framing. What was once hidden behind walls and ceilings is now fully exposed, allowing our team to verify existing conditions and set the project up for a successful build.

Taking this project down to the bones.
We’re wrapping up structural and interior demo on this project and getting ready for framing, engineering adjustments, and reconstruction. Big transformation ahead.

A few weeks can completely change the story on a job.

What started as an existing structure is now fully opened up—roof removed, new addition framed, and the shape of the project becoming clear from every angle.

Framing this phase is where vision meets structure:

• Tying new into existing without compromise

• Keeping everything square, plumb, and aligned

• Building with the next trades already in mind

It’s always interesting how quickly things can change in construction.

Three days ago, this space was just a single framed wall. Today, the structure has come together with multiple new walls in place and a large header beam installed.

Framing is one of those phases where progress becomes visible fast. Once the layout is set and the first wall goes up, the rest of the structure can come together in a matter of days. A properly executed frame isn’t just about speed, it’s about establishing the load path that every finish, system, and component will rely on for the life of the building.

Excited to see this one continue to take shape.

We’re moving into the next phase of framing—laying out and installing the floor system.
This is where the footprint of the home really starts to come to life. Floor joists are set, aligned, and secured to create a strong, level platform for everything that follows.

At this stage, it’s all about:
• Proper layout and spacing
• Structural integrity and load distribution
• Setting a flat, consistent plane for walls and finishes

It might still look like a grid of lumber, but this is the backbone of the entire structure taking shape.

Framing is officially underway on this project—and it all starts with the mud sill.

The mud sill (or sill plate) is the first piece of framing lumber anchored to the foundation. It’s what connects the entire structure to the concrete, creating a level, secure base for everything that follows.

Get this step right, and you set the tone for the entire build:
• Proper anchoring for structural integrity
• Moisture protection between concrete and framing
• A perfectly level starting point for walls and load paths

It may not be the most visible part of the build, but it’s one of the most critical. Every great structure starts here.

Clean lines coming together 👌

Cabinet installation is one of the most critical steps in a kitchen remodel—because even a 1/16" misalignment can affect how doors close and how countertops sit. Precision matters.

Excited to see this kitchen taking shape.

Progress on this full home addition is moving along.

After demo, we built up the subgrade with compacted gravel, installed a v***r barrier, and completed the rebar layout. The gravel layer is key—it helps with drainage and ensures a stable base that minimizes future settling.

A lot of the most important work never gets seen—but it’s what ensures the structure performs for years to come.

We just completed the demo of the living room and are now building out the space for added square footage.

Excavation is complete and you can see continuous footing trenches with formwork in place along the new perimeter. These footings will support new load-bearing walls and tie into the existing foundation. Next up is the pour, followed by stem walls, slab prep, and framing to integrate the expansion.

This is the same house.

We recently removed the exterior brick and an interior fireplace as part of a remodel. Full demolition often reveals decades of hidden conditions behind walls and finishes. Opening everything up early allows the new design and structure to be built the right way from the ground up.

Looking forward to sharing the next phase of this transformation
